The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi demonstrates commitment to UAE’s capital with expanding hotel team

The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi has expanded its team at the premier island address, with a number of new appointments recently recruited, and led by the newly assigned General Manager, Stewart Selbie.

Taking over in December, Selbie’s passion for exceeding guest expectations and creating brand inspired experiences will lead the existing hotel team towards service excellence, as it reinforces its positioning as the city’s leading beachfront resort.

With more than 30 years of experience within Starwood Hotels and Resorts, spanning seven countries and four brands, Selbie will also oversee the capital as Area General Manager of Abu Dhabi.

The St. Regis Saadiyat Island team’s expanding presence is in tandem with Abu Dhabi’s firmly established growth in the hospitality sector, with Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority recently releasing figures showing a year-to-date (August) growth rate of 13% for guest arrivals.

Joining the team as Complex Director of Human Resources, Jennifer Hodsoll has significant experience in human resources around the world, having worked with some of the most globally renowned brands. Jennifer will be responsible for the HR functions for both The St. Regis Saadiyat Island and The Westin Abu Dhabi, reporting to the General Managers of both hotels.

Newly appointed Giuseppe Losciale joins as Director of Food and Beverage, coming from the same role at the Intercontinental Hotel Nanjing, China. Giuseppe has worked across the globe throughout his career, from Switzerland, to Italy, to China and Brazil, and will lead the Food and Beverage Department at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in their efforts to provide guests with bespoke and uncompromising service.

Jane Pryce has been recruited for the position of Director of Housekeeping, and brings her experience and knowledge in luxury housekeeping and laundry operations to the idyllic island resort. Jane brings with her a wealth of experience in her native London as well as the Middle East, having worked in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
