The biennial Dubai International Motor Show (DIMS), the largest international automotive event across the Middle East and North Africa, has opened its doors.
The event, which is taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), will see 18 world premieres and 139 regional debuts of major automobile brands in the world.
While Cadillac, Hyundai, Mazda, Nissan, W Motors and Toyota make the world premiere of their new models, Aston Martin, Audi, Fiat, GMC, Land Rover and Volkswagen will introduce their new line-up to the region for the first time.
There will be a total of 600 cars on show the event which is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors from 37 countries.
“The Dubai International Motor Show has come of age on the world automotive calendar with a record number of international releases that point to the significance the global industry now places on the Middle East,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, DWTC.
The 13th edition of DIMS, which runs till November 14, is also hosting Motoring Nostalgia Museum that showcases a highly prized collection of more than 80 classic cars from the 1950s to the ‘80s.
The show will be open from 6pm to 10pm on November 10; 11am to 10pm on November 11; 11am to 11pm on November 12 and 13; and from 11am to 10pm on November 14.
