The Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program (ALP), a first-of-its-kind program that aims to empower talented young individuals with essential leadership qualities, will organize the second training program since the second edition of the ALP began at the end of September.
The five-day second training course will be held in Abu Dhabi at Fairmont Bab Al Bahar, from October 26th to 30th, and will address several topics related to Etiquette and Protocol.
To further enable the program’s regional participants to utilise the opportunity, Etihad Airways is also lending its support to the Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program by providing the program’s GCC participants with return flights to Abu Dhabi.
Presented by Mohammed Al Marzouki, an expert on Etiquette, Social Behaviour and International Protocol, the 20 participants in the second training program will learn about International Etiquette and Protocol through a program adapted to GCC culture and identity – in line with the UAE Vision 2021, which aims to make the UAE rank among the best countries the world, in a number of areas, by 2021. Roohi Hamlani will present a training program that provides health and nutrition guidelines, and healthy habits good leaders are inclined to follow. Dr Barry James Cummings, Founder and CEO of Action In Business International, will address organizational behaviour, sustainable excellence and strategic management, and the importance of performance management for leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Faisal Al Nuaimi, Head of the committee at the ALP said: “The 2nd edition of the ALP strives to provide young, ambitious GCC participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to take responsibility and lead work teams in the government and private sector. To be future leaders, participants must be able to identify protocol and etiquette, best health and nutrition habits, organizational behaviour, sustainable excellence, strategic management and performance management. A group of renowned experts will provide participants with skills, practical application techniques and knowledge about the latest developments in Etiquette and Protocol, improving their ability to adhere to the proper etiquette and behaviours on various occasions.”
The second training program will discuss several other topics, including preparing participants to assume leadership positions in multi-cultural institutions, studying the impact of psychological behaviours in modern organizations, presenting practical examples on the art of persuasion practices, presenting and comparing competency models and uses in modern organizations, helping participants understand the nature and the three types of strategies, providing participants with the requirements and practices of Balanced Score Card (BSC), ensuring all participants are aware of the importance of quality in business enterprises and the proper application of benchmarking, and network reference techniques for modern organisations.
Participants in The Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program receive in-depth training in key areas of leadership in a carefully designed programme consisting of six distinct modules comprising both class room and experience-based instruction that is complemented with special input sessions on emotional intelligence and, to prepare candidates for a rapidly evolving world, the leadership requirements of social media.
The course programme includes the Class Room module which focuses on six core competencies – Organizational Behaviour & Sustainable Excellence, Strategic Management, Performance Management, Personal Development & Financial Planning, Change Management, and Emotional Intelligence, as well as modules on Health & Nutrition, Etiquette & Protocol, Coaching & Mentoring, Media Coaching and Experiential Learning.
