Due to a lack of fresh impulses, the Abu Dhabi bourse failed to start the week positively, despite positive inputs from the Saudi Tadawul market. The ADX General Index closed 0.30% lower at 2,646.77 points. Shares of Islamic insurance operator Abu Dhabi National Takaful posted the largest gain (up nine percent at Dhs4.20). The sheikhdom's first real estate firm Aldar ended flat at Dhs1.42. Earlier in the day, Aldar that the first phase of Motor World, a custom-designed destination for new and used car showrooms and servicing facilities in Abu Dhabi, was now being handed over to retailers. "All 100 shops, which are all leased, have been completed on schedule and car retailers will now begin the process of fitting out their showrooms as Motor World progresses to its official opening at the end of the year," the statement says.
