CNRS implements regional coordination on improved water resources management and capacity building project

The National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) is implementing regional coordination on improved water resources management and capacity building project, funded by the World Bank under the supervision of the government of Lebanon.
CNRS has a need to develop an online web based Geospatial and Meta-database system. The system should be able to show the Meta-databases and thematic maps related to the CAPWATER project.

The portal would improve the objectives and main activities of the CAPWATER project which focuses on regional coordination on improved water resources management and capacity building.

ArabiaGIS will design and implement the Geospatial and Meta-database system, with all the related services.
The portal information will be accessible to the scientific community and to various public actors involved in environment and management.

The scientific community and stakeholders will be provided with spatial and non-spatial information on the CAPWATER project progress and outcome.

The portal would improve the networking between researchers, the public, and the private as main actors.
ArabiaGIS will develop the portal using open source technologies.

The portal will combine the following services:
– Portal Service
– Catalogue Service
– Effective searching/One-stop
