A delegation from American University in Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) led by Professor Hassan Hamdan Alalkim, President of the University, visited the Kuwaiti Consulate in Dubai and discussed potential areas of cooperation between the two sides.
They were welcomed by Mr. Hani Khaled Alshayji, Cultural Attache, and Mr. Hisham Al Nabtiti, Academic Advisor, at the Consulate.
The AURAK delegation included Mr. Yacoub Tahtamouni, Director of Communications and External Relations, and Ms. Heather McGann, Manager of the Office of International Programs.
The two sides discussed ways to facilitate the induction of Kuwaiti students into the University, especially bachelor degree holders who wish to pursue master degrees at the University.
They also discussed the modalities of drafting a Memorandum of Understanding listing the areas of cooperation and putting together an action plan at a later date.
Mr. Hani extended a warm welcome to the AURAK delegation and said the Embassy would promote stronger cooperation with the University, as a result of the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the President presented the Embassy officials with a shield of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah as a token of appreciation for the warm welcome and fruitful meeting.
