The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) General Index fell, despite positive Saudi inputs, by 0.72% to 1,374.61 points. Shares of the DFM plummeted 3.82% to Dhs0.981, below the shares' par value of one Dirham. Emaar declined 1.96% to Dhs2.50. Universal bank Emirates NBD rebounded 2.21% to Dhs3.70. ENBD lost over five percent last week after it took over Islamic bank Dubai Bank from the Dubai government. Some 52m shares were traded, valued at Dhs59.8m.
