Gulf Investment House inks deal to restructure debt

Kuwait-based Gulf Investment House has signed a deal to restructure KD49.5m ($180m) of debt after the financial crisis cut off its access to credit markets, Bloomberg has reported. The agreement includes converting short-term debt to medium-term over a period of five years. Kuwait Finance House led the restructuring. Boubyan Bank and Burgan Bank were also part of the agreement.
