Optimus Technology and Telecommunications and Huawei Technologies announced the launch of lucrative promotions for its channel partners offering free services and products during the channel kick-off meeting. The announcement was made at a channel event at the Crowne Plaza that welcomed more than 65 partners.
At the event, Huawei solution experts gave industry insight to the latest technology trends addressing topical areas including mobility, next-generation network infrastructure and Big Data analytics. Innovative enterprise technologies from Unified Communications, data networking to a range of IT solutions were also explored at the sessions as just some of the key technologies that are instrumental in driving the bottom line of businesses across industries in Qatar.
“Qatar is a strategic market for both Huawei and Optimus and we wanted to provide a platform to share their regional business strategies to our channel network and introduce their solutions. Senior executives and technical experts from Huawei and Optimus made presentations, held demos and explained our current channel and loyalty programs. We also introduced new promotions on Huawei’s products for our partners and are confident these promotions will help to increase Huawei’s market share in the Middle East. The channel event for Huawei was a huge success and we look forward to holding more such events in future,” says Meera Kaul, Managing Director of Optimus Technology & Telecommunications.
In addition to sharing industry insight of the latest technology trends set to boost the economy in Qatar, Huawei addressed its key strategy to establish a stronger channel business to ensure that it was able to do what was needed to maximize profitability for its partners.

The event was also an opportunity for both Huawei and Optimus to meet with partners and understand the industry and market needs. Huawei’s main aim is to work closely with a select network of partners who are ready to align their business and investments with the global ICT solutions provider.
Through developing tools to enable partners, Huawei provides the right training and platform for partners to deliver to the end-users. From training in sales, pre-sales, support services to provide Proof of Concepts, funds to enable the right training and marketing platforms, Huawei believes that it is vital to enable our partners as a means to go-to-market most effectively.
As a follow-up of this event, Optimus will offer its channel partners training, certifications, skill development, consultancy services through its value-added services portfolio called Optimus 360 to help them sell solutions, marketing as a service through Optimus Primero; and an entire host of capacity building services to enable them to position and sell the product efficiently and effectively. The company will also train its partners to enhance their service capabilities and address customer requirements appropriately through its training arm, Optimus Academy.
