Intel begins porting Jelly Bean for Atom processor devices

Intel Corp has said it has started porting Google's latest iteration of Android mobile operating system, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, to work on smartphones and tablets which are using Intel's low power Atom processors. "Intel continues to work closely with Google to enable future versions of Android, including Jelly Bean, on our family of low power Atom processors," said Intels' global communications director, Suzy Greenberg. The chipmaker, however, didn't say when the porting will be completed and installed on various products.
