Kuwait inflation rate up by 3.3% in April – CSO

According to data released by Kuwait's Central Statistical Office (CSO), the Gulf country's annual inflation fell to a four-month low of 3.3% in April and prices fell on a monthly basis for the first time in more than a year due to a drop in food prices, Kuna has reported. Inflation climbed to 4.1% in March after easing gradually from a peak of 5.4% in May 2011. Consumer prices contracted 0.6% month-on-month in April, compared to a 0.8% rise in March, the data showed.
