Head of departments from Millennium & Copthorne Hotels sales force got together recently at the Grand Millennium Dubai for a year-end sales conference. The meeting was attended by all Directors of Sales representing the group’s various properties in the UAE.
Leading the delegation was Mr. Naeem Darkazally, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Middle East & Africa. A warm welcome was extended to the team by Mr. Peter Mansourian, General Manager of Grand Millennium Dubai in support of the importance of these strategic sales meetings.
The purpose of the meeting was to analyze the UAE hotels’ sales and marketing strategies and results for this year while defining the way forward for 2015. Mr. Darkazally stressed, “Despite the various challenges, all our properties have performed extremely well enjoying high occupancies with strong ADR and RevPAR. Moving forward our aim is to build on this success by retaining and gaining greater market share. This meeting is also an immense opportunity for us to hear from our various heads of sales their respective experiences and plans that will enable us to tailor our strategies for the upcoming year.”
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has intensified its presence in all key source markets as the group strives to have a wider share of the regional and global business. Mr. Darkazally said, “Our corporate sales office works closely with all properties within the group to identify target markets and segments. Through an integrated sales and marketing approach we have increased the capability of our teams to cross-sell among brands and get a bigger market share. This includes and not limited to the introduction of unified promotions launched every year, joint road shows and exhibitions.”
