Oman inflation drops to 27 month low

Oman's annual inflation has dropped to its the lowest level since February 2010 at 2.2% in May 2012, as prices of most foodstuff and personal-care items either fell or stabilised, Muscat Daily has reported. Annual inflation in the food and beverages category, which has 30% weightage in Oman's CPI, dropped to 1% in May, compared with 2% in April. Annual inflation came in at 2.9% in April.
