Qatar market fells for the third day

The Doha-based Qatar Exchange fell for the third day straight on Sunday. The QE Index ended off one percent at 8,156.60 points. The country's largest bank Qatar National Bank closed 0.88% lower at QR135. Qatar German Medical Co. added 0.23% and finished at QR8.70. Qatari listed firms have increased their first quarter earnings by 13%, according to Kuwait Financial Centre, known as Markaz, but "despite higher profitability, stock markets in the GCC have not responded positively as yet," Dr. Said Al-Shaikh, Group Chief Economist at National Commercial Bank in Saudi Arabia says.
