Qatari investors see time ripe to cash in profits

After a strong recovery which began end of August and lasted till yesterday, the QE Index in Doha today lost 1.58%, finishing at 8,307.48 points. Investors punished financial shares in particular, in the wake of the bank sell-out in Europe (the U. S. markets remain closed on Monday due to Labour Day, a national holiday). Doha Bank and Qatar Islamic Bank both dived over two percent while only Al Khalij Commercial Bank (up 0.58%) bucked the sector downturn.
