Qatar’s GDP rose 6.2% in Q3 2013

Qatar’s development planning and statistics ministry has said the country’s real gross domestic product (GDP) climbed 6.2% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2013, from 6% in the second quarter, the Peninsula has reported. The nominal GDP, the figure without adjusting for inflation, is up by 6.4% during the period, said the ministry. The Q3 2013 GDP expanded 4.3% from the previous quarter. The quarterly real GDP in the third quarter of 2013 is estimated at QR92.37bn, compared with the QR87bn estimate of Q3 2012, said the ministry.
