QNB, H1 profit up 71%

Qatar National Bank has posted a 71% hike in profits to $199m for the first half of 2005. CEO Saeed Bin Abdullah Al Misnad said the bank continued its strong record of delivering improved profits to its shareholders. Total shareholders' equity amounted to $2.2bn, with total market capitalization of the bank's share growing by 58% to reach $9bn.
