Saudi Arabia to invest SR3.6bn in youth employment

Saudi Arabia's Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) is set to pay SR3.6bn to more than 1.3 million Saudi youths registered in the Hafiz programme, Arab News has reported. HRDF will pay SR2,800 for each of the registered unemployed youths to private employment agencies in the kingdom, said HRDF director General Ibrahim Al-Moaiqel. There are 130 employment agencies in the country. "The HRDF decided to pay the amount in instalments over three continuous months to ensure that the new recruits complete the trial period and get confirmed at their jobs," Al-Moaiqel said.
