Saudi surplus at $68bn

Saudi Arabia is expected to achieve a trade surplus of $68.3bn this fiscal year as the value of its exports is likely to reach $110.9bn against imports of $42.6bn, according to an Arab economic report. Figures issued by the General Statistics Department put the kingdom's non-oil exports to GCC countries in Q1 2005 at $853m compared to $827m during the same period last year.
