UAE has opted to turn the hotel experience topsy-turvy. This is achieved by creating amazing new concepts, incorporating technologies and building off of designs from world renown architects.
So AMEinfo decided to take a peek at some upcoming hotels in the UAE. They will astonish even the most seasoned traveler.
Here are your top 5 hotels:
1- The Abu Dhabi Edition: The Edition hotels come with an illustrious legacy. It’s the brainchild of renowned hotelier Ian Schrager, who is credited with having created the boutique hotel category.
The Abu Dhabi Edition is the first in the region, so it’s exciting to see what the stylish lifestyle brand’s Middle Eastern debut has to offer when it opens in late 2018.
Part of the Marriott International portfolio, Edition hotels are known for their vibrant public spaces and unique design that varies from city to city.
For now, The Abu Dhabi Edition will be a 198-key waterfront property situated in Abu Dhabi Marina’s Al Bateen area.
F&B outlets will include two signature restaurants, a gourmet market, a lobby bar, a tea lounge, a pool bar and three-story nightclub.
The hotel will also have two pools, a fitness center and a spa with seven treatment rooms and for the corporate travelers, it will have 900 square meters of meeting and events space including meeting studios, a ballroom, and boardrooms.
2- W Dubai – The Palm: The popular W beach resort is almost ready to welcome guests as it is scheduled to open in September 2018, and these guests are not just the two-legged kind, the pet-friendly resort will gladly check-in guests’ pooches and felines (as its Habtoor City branch already does).
The 350-room hotel will also have the distinction of being the Middle East’s first W Escape property, a feather in Dubai’s cap, as W Escapes are an exclusive portfolio of resorts reserved for destinations categorized as the entertainment capitals of the world.
It will also be the only W hotel in the region to have the brand’s signature Away Spa; the spa will have a beauty bar, 11 treatment rooms, a plunge pool and beauty pods for hair and make-up.
There’s plenty to look forward to in the guest rooms too – all places, including 58 suites will have bright and funky interior design elements – think glittering mosaic tiles and calligraphy-strewn walls, great views, and Bliss Spa bath amenities.
Foodies will be delighted to know the hotel’s six in-house restaurants will include Torno Subito, award-winning chef Massimo Bottura’s only restaurant outside of Italy and Akira Back, a Japanese restaurant with a Korean twist.
3- Caesars Palace, Bluewaters Island: Bluewaters human-made island built off the coast of JBR, due to open in the fourth quarter of 2018. It is set to become home to a second serving of famous Las Vegas hotel, Caesars Palace.
The collaboration between Caesars Entertainment and Dubai based developer Meraas will see two luxury hotels, a conference center and brand-new beach club all open later this year.
Although no details of what this will look like are being released, if it’s anything like the famous Las Vegas version we’re expecting some lavish, Roman-inspired decor.
4- TIME Asma Hotel: TIME in Al Barsha was expected to open in the first quarter of the year, but upon further review, the hotel is yet to be open for business. What sets this hotel apart, however, is that it will be run almost entirely by women.
Moreover, the hotel will feature 232 rooms, restaurants and a line-up of facilities and services.
The ladies will make up 80% of the total workforce with dedicated services including female room service, a female-only check-in counter, dedicated women-only guest relations, in-house babysitting services and in-room beauty treatments.
5- ROYAL ATLANTIS, PALM JUMEIRAH: last on our list of new hotels in Dubai is the colossal Royal Atlantis Resorts and Residences project on the iconic human-made archipelago, Palm Jumeirah, scheduled for completion sometime in 2019.
The contemporary interiors and classic exteriors are full of stunning surprises that are bound to captivate even the most seasoned tourists.
The cherry on the cake will be the flagship Givenchy Spa, set to be launched in the resort, where patrons can unwind with the best of Italian luxury.
