UAE pledges $2bn more in aid for Egypt

Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, has pledged an additional $2bn aid comprising deposits and grants to support Egypt, Ahram has reported, citing anonymous sources in the Egyptian cabinet. Egypt's central bank said in July that it received $3bn in aid from UAE, part of the $12bn pledged by Gulf countries after president Morsi's ouster. The UAE has also sent seven shipments of fuel worth $225m in the same month.
