The Waldorf Astoria, Ras Al Khaimah will be the second Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property in the Middle East following the 2005 opening of the Qasr Al Sharq in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The new hotel will be part of Al Hamra Village and will offer 349 luxurious rooms, access to a 600m private beach, three outdoor swimming pools, and a choice of eight restaurants and lounges.
The hotel is being developed by Al Hamra Group and will be managed by Hilton Worldwide.
The company pledges that each Waldorf Astoria property will offer an experience as good as the brand’s namesake, The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York.
Al Hamra Village, the master planned development, covers an area of 2.5 million sq m and includes 1.5km of beaches, 1,000 villas and townhouses, 2,500 residential apartments, two hotels, three resorts, an 18 hole golf course, clubhouse, a marina and a shopping mall.

Hilton has announced plans for a second Waldorf Astoria in the UAE, which will be located on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2014.
