Complex Made Simple

Writing Centre opened at Bahrain Polytechnic

The Writing Centre becomes the latest addition of Bahrain Polytechnic’s many facilities, which officially launched on 13th October 2014, aiming to help staff and students become better writers.

The main objective of Bahrain Polytechnic’s Writing Centre is to help individuals who seek services to become better and more self-sufficient writers through one-to-one tutoring sessions which are adapted to individual needs.

Bahrain Polytechnic’s Dean of Humanities, Dr. Sajida Tabbara, believes the services is a perfect method to train individuals on work-related written communications, as per the Polytechnic’s goal to produce work-ready graduates.

“The staff and students will receive great support from the Writing Centre. Consultations will take place in a safe, comfortable and professional environment in which our tutors offer help with writing.

“A few examples of the services we provide are outlining plans for research and writing, assist in brainstorming ideas for a writing topic and understanding assignments.” she stated.

Dr. Tabbara also believes that employers place heavy emphasis on English written proficiency, and the students will surely benefit from these tutoring sessions.
