Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, recently held a special internal ceremony at the company’s main headquarters that witnessed the honoring of a number of high performing employees as part of the quarterly ‘Zain Star’ program, which recognizes distinguished employees’ achievements during each quarter of the year. Zain proudly considers its human capital the company’s main strategic asset.
Held with the aim to bring together the Zain family to celebrate the end of the year in a joyful atmosphere, the ceremony included a number of internal activities, where the company recognized employees that attained distinguished achievements during the third quarter of the year.
Zain’s executive management team attended the ceremony expressing their gratitude and admiration for outstanding employees, as well as to provide them with additional motivation to excel in their roles. Omar Saud Al Omar, Chief Executive Officer was present at the event, as was Mariam Ali, Chief Commercial Officer; Nabeel Mohammed, Chief Technical Officer; Faisal Abul, Chief Regulatory, Legal Affairs and Roaming Officer; and Ahmad Al Kandari, Sales Director, all of whom took part in honoring employees’ achievements.
The Zain Star program was developed by the company’s Human Resources Division as part of its strategy to encourage staff to achieve more creative outcomes. Through the program, the company aims at highlighting the distinguished achievements of its own human resources with the presence of the executive management to further encourage their efforts.
The ceremony also witnessed an internal donation drive, where Zain took the opportunity to bring around its “Donate a Jacket” internal initiative from last year. The initiative encouraged employees to donate clothes, books, and children toys to be distributed to people in need. The donation drive aimed at spurring the spirit of giving within Zain employees, as well as delivering on the company’s commitment to continually support the community it proudly serves.
